Our guests often have questions and requests about their stay at Mangonui Waterfront Apartments.

Check in is from 2:00pm to 6:00pm
(or by arrangement – we like to be flexible, if circumstances permit)
Check out is by 10:00am.
We like to accommodate our guests wanting a late checkout – so feel free to ask, however please do not be offended if it is not possible.
Mangonui Waterfront Apartments are located at 88 Waterfront Drive, Mangonui.
Driving, we are:
- 37 kms (33 minutes) south of Kaitaia on State Highway 10
- 60 kms (45 minutes) north of Kerikeri on State Highway 10
- 140 kms north of Whangarei
If flying, our closest airports are Bay of Islands (Kerikeri) or Kaitaia.
[ We do not however offer airport transfers ]Yes, we have free private off street parking for our guests – but due to limited capacity, we can only offer one carpark per room.
Entry to the carpark is from 1 Thomas Street, Mangonui
No, we do not offer any food service.
However, we are conveniently located close to restaurants, cafes and Mangonui 4 Square mini supermarket – all within walking distance.
Yes, all of our rooms (except TORU) have a kitchen or kitchenette, that includes a microwave, oven, hob, refrigerator, cookware and dinnerware.
All of our rooms have an electric kettle and complimentary tea/coffee.
Our WHITU room also has a small barbecue for those who like a cook out.
Yes, we have free WiFi internet available for our guests.
Each of our rooms sleep up to two adults, in one bed.
We love animals, and we do have pet-friendly rooms.
If you want your furry family member to join you at Mangonui Waterfront Apartments, you must contact us at the time of booking to inform us, and there will be an additional surcharge of NZD $30 per pet, per stay.
We are an adults-only property, which means that we do not cater for children of any age.
For our guests that stay with us for 4 or more nights, we can offer a complimentary room service on day four, following your third night if you require. Our staff will advise and arrange a convenient time. If you do not wish to be disturbed or are happy as is, please let us know.
For our guests that stay with us for 2 nights or more, we will happily supply you with additional clean towels, rubbish removal, tea/coffee top up as you request. Please advise our staff or text us with your requirements and it will be our pleasure to oblige.
If you wish for a full service after each night, this can be arranged at an additional charge, please let our staff know on arrival so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
Unfortunately, we do not have wheelchair access or an elevator/lift to any of our rooms.
No, our property is smoke-free.
No, we do not have a laundry service available to guests.
We suggest Doubtless Bay Laundry, which has self or full service options – they are located just around the corner from us.
If you think you’ve left something in your room, please notify us immediately so we can confirm that you indeed left it behind.
Once confirmation has been made, you will need to arrange a pick up or send a pre-paid, self-addressed NZ Post courier bag and we will drop it off to Mangonui Post Shop to get it back to you.
